Artoo Travel General Sales Terms & Conditions

 1. ACCEPTANCE OF CONTRACT

Any reservation for tailor-made itinerary with Artoo Travel implies acceptance by the Traveler of these General Sales Terms and Conditions.

 

2. BILLING AND TERMS OF PAYMENT

Rates

 

The rates are all inclusive and are not broken down by item. The rates are set according to economic conditions and can be revised in the case of a change in the economic situation or the entry of new regulations into force. 

Commissions

The prices indicated are net of commission. 

Payment

Artoo Travel issues its invoices under the name of the Traveler and sends its invoices directly to the Traveler. The Traveler is the exclusive debtor of the invoice issued by Artoo Travel. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is requested at the time of confirmation.
NOTE: Only payment of this deposit validates confirmation of the tailor-made tour. Payment of the balance, that is, the remaining 70% shall be paid within a maximum of 60 days prior to arrival.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

 

Artoo Travel must be promptly informed, by means of email, of any cancellation of reservation. The official date of receipt of the cancellation shall be used for calculating the compensation due to Artoo Travel, in accordance with the following conditions:
• 30% non-refundable deposit due at the time of confirmation
• 60-31 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total price
• 30-16 days prior to arrival: 75% of the total price
• 15 days or less prior to arrival: 100% of the total price

IMPORTANT NOTE: Payment Terms & Cancellation Policies may vary for certain custom itinerary tours. Your Artoo Travel consultant will specify them prior to making your reservation.

4. POSTPONEMENT POLICY

 

 If the clients decide to postpone their trip due to an event of “force majeure”, Artoo Travel may agree to change the date of the trip but reserves the right to increase the price in case the price of the services offered has increased. The events of force majeure referred to here are all accidental or catastrophic losses, attacks, fire, total or partial strike, damage and other disasters, pandemic declared by the World Health Organization.

In case of cancellation or modification of your stay due to Covid-19*, your reservation may be postponed. Please contact Artoo Travel directly for more information. 

(*) Upon presentation of proof: positive PCR test, regional containment.

5. LIABILITY AND GUARANTEES

 

We cannot be held liable if the poor performance of your trip is attributable in particular to yourself, to a case of force majeure or to the unforeseeable and insurmountable fact of a third party unrelated to the provision of the services provided for in the contract. We inform you that the photographs are given as an indication and do not constitute a contractual commitment.

6. AFTER-SALES SERVICE (COMPLAINTS)

 

Any claim for non-performance or improper performance of the travel contract must be reported on site to Artoo Travel by setting out your grievances within 24 hours of your arrival. In doing so, an alternate solution may be proposed to you by Artoo Travel representative. For any dispute arising after your return home, Artoo Travel should be informed in writing (by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt) within a maximum of 30 days from your return date at the following address: Artoo Travel, 6 Rue De La Rosiere, 75015 Paris, France.

In case the dispute cannot be settled amicably, the User can decide to seek to settle the said dispute with the Company through traditional mediation proceedings or any other alternative means of dispute settlement.

The user is informed that:

  • To allow a dispute to be examined by the mediator, the User must justify that he has made a written claim to the Company or keep written proof of measures taken.
  • The request must be founded and lawful.
  • The User can bring the matter before the mediator within a maximum period of one year following the Company’s written claim.

Finally, if this mediation procedure fails or if the User wishes to bring proceedings, the French Code of Civil Procedure will apply.
